John Warner, IV, is a 1972 graduate of The Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, New Hampshire. In 1976, he graduated from Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in English.
In 1977, Mr. Warner began employment with The John Warner Bank, Clinton, Illinois. He served as Chairman and CEO from 1988 through 1997.Presently he serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the bank.
In 1983 and 1984, he pursued additional undergraduate study at the University of Illinois, School of Agriculture in agricultural economics, agronomy, agricultural engineering and forestry.
From 1984 to the present, John Warner has served as co-trustee of the C. H. Moore Trust Estate, Clinton, Illinois, managing farmlands, properties and assets across six Midwestern and southern states.
From 1986 through 1992, he served as a Trustee of Millikin University, Decatur, Illinois.
From 1992 through 1994, he served on the Agricultural Economics Advisory Committee of the College of Agriculture, University of Illinois.
During the years 1998 through 2005, John Warner has been a guest lecturer at The Phillips Exeter Academy on matters pertaining to American agriculture and the environment. In 1998, he was invited to Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, to speak with an environmental studies group on these subjects.
