Kent D. Bangert is a 1983 graduate of the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics. Upon graduation, Kent was employed by a central Illinois bank as a professional farm manager and enjoys working in the farm management profession.
Kent holds the Accredited Farm Manager designation with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and is a member of the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.
Kent is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Illinois and recently passed the Illinois Real Estate Brokers exam in preparation for becoming a Licensed Broker. Kent is current with continuing education requirements.
Kent was raised on a grain and livestock farm near Taylorville, Illinois, and from 1983 to the present has gained experience by managing farmlands, properties and assets in many Midwestern and Southern states.
This experience includes:
- Profitably growing and marketing major crops produced in the Midwest.
- Negotiating and implementing major crop leasing arrangements.
- Managing both dry-land and irrigated farms, administering government programs and conservation practices.
- Selecting and working with farm operators to ensure the maximum benefit for the farmland asset.
- On-farm yield, chemical and fertility studies.
Kent serves on the farmdoc Advisory Committee and
is an ambassador for Illinois Connection.
